Overview

Project Drawdown is the world's leading resource for climate solutions. They've articulated the spectrum of solutions required to reverse global warming and achieve a net-zero future. All of Future Meet's Present's work, including the annual Marketplace of the Future, is built around the Drawdown solutions. Our relationship with Drawdown began in 2021 and has evolved into welcoming Drawdown Stories - a short film series highlighting underrepresented climate voices - as an official part of the 2023 Marketplace of the Future programming.

Role

Bring the Drawdown solutions to life through the design of the Marketplace of the Future exhibitor hall and integrate the "Drawdown Stories" film series into the Marketplace of the Future 2023 program.

Process

We started with a high level pie-chart view of global GHG emissions that includes the following sections: Energy, Transportation, Food & Ag, Industry, Buildings. We then color-coded our exhibitor hall and curated start-ups representing solutions within these categories. Finally, we welcomed Drawdown Stories to own a 3-hour section of our program schedule to uplift underrepresented climate voices through short films and live Q&A.

Outcome

A 40,000 square foot experience with a color-coded exhibitor hall, 44 start-up companies arranged and color coded according to the Drawdown solution categories, and a screening room housing 100 attendees for the Drawdown Stories film screening.
